Jeannette Hirasawa Moore
Flutist Jeannette Hirasawa Moore has gained recognition for her remarkable talent and has appeared as a soloist with prestigious ensembles such as the Toronto Symphony, Calgary Philharmonic, Ensemble Sir Ernest MacMillan, and Hart House Orchestra. Originally hailing from Canada, Jeannette has held principal flute positions with the Toronto Pops Orchestra, Toronto Operetta Theatre, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, Hamilton Philharmonic, and Toronto Philharmonic. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master of Music degrees in flute performance from the University of Toronto, studying under Douglas Stewart and Robert Aitken. In 1995, she had the unique opportunity to tour the Far East with The Phantom of the Opera.
Since 2013, Jeannette has served as the Principal Flute of the Flagstaff Symphony. She also holds principal flute positions with our friends at the Arizona Philharmonic and our very own Sedona Symphony (formerly Verde Valley Sinfonietta). Additionally, she is an active performer with the chamber groups Ponderosa Players and Duo Catalina, showcasing her versatile artistry in various musical settings.
